WHAT IS SYDNEY FRINGE?

Sydney’s independent festival for the visual and performing arts. NSW'S largest alternative arts event, a celebration of multi-disciplines such as visual arts, film, digital arts, comedy, music, theatre, musical theatre, circus/physical theatre, dance, cabaret, books, kids and family shows, poetry and special events.

WHEN IS SYDNEY FRINGE?

Sydney Fringe 2012 will run from September 7 to September 30.

WHERE IS SYDNEY FRINGE?

The Sydney Fringe pops up in venues all over Sydney including Leichhardt, Parramatta, Oxford Street and the City. Fringe Central covers the Inner West, Inner East and CBD and includes the Newtown/Marrickville/Enmore area, which boasts the highest concentration of independent theatres and live performance spaces in Sydney and the largest artist population in Australia. Fringe Local is all other parts of the city and in 2011 included Parramatta and Chatswood.

HOW MUCH ARE TICKETS?

We want people to take a risk and to encourage as many folk to attend as many different shows and events as possible. There are a huge number of free events and we try to keep ticket prices under $30 wherever we can.

These tickets are for youngsters who are 12 years and under.

CAN I TAKE PART?
 
You sure can. We’re currently accepting registrations from venues who want to stage something for the festival. Online Venue and Artist registration opens on March 1st. And we are always looking for bright, enthusiastic and energetic people to help us run Fringe HQ. Email us: hq@sydneyfringe.com
 
HOW MANY SHOWS ARE THERE?
 
Heaps! The Fringe is packed full of goodness (and a touch of naughtiness) with over 250 plays, gallery exhibitions, cabarets, bands and all sorts of wotnot. There’s something for everyone and nothing for no-one.
 


CAN I SUBMIT A SHOW OR EVENT?

Yes please. Online registration opens March 1st. All details will be posted on this website. Come and join the biggest spring party in Sydney!
